The Charter School of Wilmington has one of 60 winning teams participating in the second NASA – National Aeronautics and Space Administration TechRise Student Challenge! This nationwide contest is designed to engage students in technology, science, and space exploration.
Each team received $1,500 to build their experiment and an assigned spot to test it on one of two NASA-sponsored high-altitude balloon flights scheduled for this summer. Now the fun begins!
Congratulations to our extraordinary students; they include Shravan Balaji (12th), Praneet Bandla (11th), Tanmay Garudadri (11th), Shivansh Gour (11th), Arthur Liu (11th), Jiayi Liu (11th), SaiNigun Ramineni (9th), Suraj Reddy (11th), and Rohan Sivva (10th). Kudos to their Aerospace Club moderator and math teacher, Mr. Shawn Clark. We will update you on their adventure.
