Senior YuQing Xie is one of only 20 students from across the U.S. to qualify for the opportunity to become a member of the 2018 U.S. Physics Team.
The exam process for the competition began last January with 6,500 students participating in the Fnet=ma exam.
The twenty members of the 2018 U.S. Physics Team will prepare for the mentally grueling exams and lab tests they’ll face at the 49th International Physics Olympiad to be held July 21–29 in Lisbon, Portugal, where student scholars from 133 nations will test their knowledge in physics, competing with the world’s best .
