Two Seniors Honored on Top 300 Scholars List in Regeneron Science Talent Search

Seniors Preeti Krishnamani and Grant Lu  have been named to the list of 300 top scholars in the Regeneron Science Talent Search, the nation’s  most prestigious math and science competition for high school seniors. Preeti and Grant were selected from more than 1,900 applicants based on their exceptional research skills, commitment to academics, innovative thinking and promise as scientists. Each of the 300 scholars and their schools will be awarded $2,000.

CSW Science teachers Greg Darone and Rick Schuder were also recognized by Preeti, Grant and the talent search as “Teachers of Merit.”

Preeti’s research was titled: “Effects of Silicon Amendments on the Concentration and Adsorption Properties of Iron-Oxides in Rice Paddy Soils.”

Grant’s research was titled: “Structure, Magnetic Properties, and Thermal Stability of Chemically Prepared Nickel Carbide Nanoparticles.”
