Congratulations to our 2020 National Merit Semifinalists. This group of 25 scholars includes: Haley Adkins, Connor Bramhall, Cathy Chian, Victoria Deng, Thanvi Dola, Raghav Garg, Jinay Jain, Christophoros Kontomaris, Anthony Lee, Jenny Luo, Luke Mathe, Miyu Mudalamane, Shinhwa Park, Rishith Ramamurthy, Erik Shute, Isabel Snyder, Neel Sortur, Lily Suh, Abhiram Udumula, Eleanor Veith, Albert Xing, Dylan Yin, Shan Yu, Kathryn Zhang, and Alexander Zhu.
In early September, about 16,000 students, or approximately one-third of the 50,000 high scorers, were notified that they qualified as Semifinalists. To ensure that academically talented young people from all parts of the United States are included in this talent pool, Semifinalists are designated on a state-representational basis.
