After considering the health and well-being of our scholars, faculty, staff, and families, The Charter School of Wilmington will be closing Monday, March 16, and Tuesday, March 17.  Faculty, staff, and administration have been planning for the potential impact of a COVID – 19 coronavirus outbreak in Delaware and are prepared to move to “cyber learning.”

Monday and Tuesday will be teacher professional days at home for additional preparation.
On Wednesday, March 18, we will be operating on a “cyber school schedule” listed below.  We will be simplifying our schedule to rotate between two schedule days, not our typical six day rotating schedule.  Each teacher will be holding class slightly differently.  Please have your scholars be on the lookout for communications from their teachers.
On March 18, 20, 24, and 26, faculty will “meet” with their ABCD classes at the following times:
A: 8-8:50 a.m.

B: 9-9:50 a.m.

C: 10-10:50 a.m.

D: 11-11:50 a.m.

On March 19, 23, 25, and 27, faculty will “meet” with their EFGH classes at the following times:

E: 8-8:50 a.m.

F: 9-9:50 a.m.

G: 10-10:50 a.m.

H: 11-11:50 a.m.

The decision to reopen will be re-evaluated during the week of March 23 unless a decision is made by the State sooner. If there is a directive from the Governor’s Office, the State of Delaware or the Red Clay Consolidated School District to remain closed beyond that date,  we will update you by email and our Voice Alert system.
For the latest messages from CSW,  check our Facebook page and Schoology posts in addition to your email.

Please know that as circumstances continue to develop, one thing will remain the same. We will make decisions with the health and well-being of our scholars, faculty, and families first and foremost.
