The Charter School of Wilmington will start the 2020-2021 school year 100% online on September 8, 2020. The extra week allows the faculty and staff to prepare for additional Professional Development, technology enhancements, schedule creation, and logistical planning, and maximizes smooth entry into fall online learning.
While CSW will conduct online learning through at least January 4, 2021, CSW administration will provide the Board with an outline for possible in-person instructional opportunities depending on CSW’s educational resources and safety guidelines at the September board meeting.
In addition, the administration and CSW Reentry Team will work to develop specific metrics/criteria to be used in formulating a recommendation for beginning hybrid or resuming normal educational operations.
Freshmen and transfer students will have orientation on Tuesday, September 8, and we’ll share those details in an email to students and their families soon. All grades will start online classes on Wednesday, September 9. Tentative dates for student textbook and Chromebook pick up will be August 31 (freshmen) and September 2-3 (sophomores-seniors).
