The Board of Directors is excited to announce the appointment of Dr. James P. Capolupo as the next President of The Charter School of Wilmington, effective July 17, 2019.
Dr. Capolupo comes to CSW with extensive experience as a teacher, principal, superintendent, college professor, and most recently as CEO of a charter school in Philadelphia. Dr. Capolupo received the prestigious awards of 2015 Pennsylvania Superintendent of the Year, and 2014 National Superintendent of the Year. In addition, Dr. Capolupo has shared his expertise on school leadership in his textbook, Behind the Curtain, Tackling the Myths and Mistakes of School Management.

I want students to have hope and optimism for their future. To do that, they need strong teachers, outstanding school leaders and a welcoming environment. The selection of Dr. Capolupo is the result of an extensive national search, and dedicated commitment of the Board of Directors and Search Committee.
