Please click here for specific instructions if your student or student-athlete has tested positive for COVID-19 so we can notify the Department of Public Health (DPH) and expedite the implementation of appropriate infectious control actions.
Procedures for Entering Our Building
COVID-19 Building Survey – Staff
All CSW staff must complete this survey before they enter the building and report to the Main Office to sign in.
If a staff member marks “Yes”, to any of the questions in the survey, the staff member must stay home. There are absolutely no exceptions to this DDOE regulation.
“Any affirmative responses to the health assessment should prompt the family to keep the student home from school. Students and staff must stay home if they are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 or have been confirmed to have COVID-19 or if required by DPH to isolate or quarantine.” (page 17 – DDOE School Health Return to School Additional Guidance)

Delaware Offers Contact Tracing and Mobile App – COVID Alert DE
Governor John Carney, the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS), and the Delaware Department of Technology and Information (DTI) on Tuesday launched COVID Alert DE – a mobile app available in the App Store or Google Play that will help Delaware fight community spread of COVID-19.The free mobile app – available to anyone 18 or older who lives, works, or attends college in Delaware – uses Bluetooth technology from Google and Apple to securely and anonymously alert users who have been in close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19. COVID-19 Community Testing Sites COVID-19 Testing has expanded throughout the state. Here is a list of permanent testing sites in New Castle County. Schools Testing sites were recently addedto the list of permanent testing sites Do You Qualify for an At-Home Testing Option? The State of Delaware is expanding options for COVID-19 detection through the addition of an at-home testing option. This method of testing will be prioritized by Division of Public Health based on the most recent data being reported from healthcare providers and other sources throughout the State. This method of testing is available to Delaware residents only. If you are ordering for a family, you will need one email address per person/test. Division of Public Health encourages any Delawarean over the age of 60 and those in high risk groups to utilize this testing method. Additionally, Division of Public Health recommends this testing method for the following New Castle communities and risks: Newark
- Any student of the University of Delaware
- Wilmington (especially those in zip codes 19801, 19802, and 19805)
- New Castle (those in zip code 19720)
